5th Quarter Respiratory contains a blend of New Zealand grassfed bovine organs and glands including: 

  • Lung

    The surfactant in bovine lungs, as well as in human lungs, is primarily composed of a mixture of lipids (fats) and proteins, including a phospholipid called dipalmitoylphosphatidylcholine (DPPC). This phospholipid plays a crucial role in reducing surface tension within the alveoli (tiny air sacs in the lungs) and preventing their collapse during exhalation. Lung tissue also contains collagen and protein, which are essential for maintaining the structure and function of various tissues in the body, including the lungs.

  • Thymus

    Responsible for important immune system functions, including the development of T-Lymphocytes, a type of white blood cell essential to the immune system which can help to improve resistance to allergies and infections. The thymus gland also releases several hormones which support the immune system, including thymosin, thymulin and thymopoietin. Low levels of these hormones in the blood have been associated with reduced immunity and increased susceptibility to
    infection.Thymus is a nutrient dense organ providing a range of minerals like zinc, iron, phosphorous and potassium along with B group Vitamins to support overall health and immunity.
